Kindle launches Chrome plug-in Kindle Cloud Reader, making Web reading easier and pinning to the Windows taskbar

March 06,2020

Amazon Kindle has a unique reader product, and Kindle undoubtedly has its place in the e-book market, but for Windows users, using Kindle on computers has always been a problem, the biggest problem is the lack of a good Kindle customer end.

Amazon had previously launched a Windows 8 app, but it was withdrawn in 2016. By the way, Kindle also has a traditional desktop client, but it is just barely usable.

Recently, Windows system Kindle users have a new choice. Amazon has launched a Chrome plug-in, Kindle Cloud Reader, which is quite effective (because it is a Chrome plug-in and is naturally compatible with Microsoft's Edge browser).

Kindle Cloud Reader is a web program that can be pinned on the taskbar. It also provides a series of convenient functions such as offline reading, online book purchase, dark mode, adjusting the font width and width, creating notes and bookmarks, searching in a book, and interpreting words. It is worth mentioning that the size of the Kindle Cloud Reader is only 10.43KB.

Kindle Cloud Reader also supports touch operation. I can think of the most compatible Windows device is the Surface Neo that is designed like a book and is equipped with Windows 10X system.
